Instrumentation

Instrumentation used at Allab

Allab is committed to providing the highest quality of asbestos and lead testing services. We achieve this by employing a range of sophisticated instruments that allow us to carry out precise and reliable tests. Our instruments are well-maintained and calibrated to ensure accurate results.

Quality Assurance

At Allab, we ensure that our instruments are regularly checked and calibrated to provide accurate results. Our commitment to quality assurance and control distinguishes us in the field of asbestos and lead testing.

Instruments used by Allab (click for more)Description
Phase Contrast Microscope (PCM)Phase Contrast Microscopy is a technique that enhances the contrast of transparent and colorless specimens. It plays a crucial role in asbestos analysis, especially in determining airborne fiber concentrations. Our PCM provides high-resolution images, making it easier to distinguish between asbestos and non-asbestos fibers.
Polarized Light Microscope (PLM)Polarized Light Microscopy is another key instrument in our laboratory. It is used to identify and quantify asbestos in bulk samples by observing the optical properties of the fibers under polarized light. PLM is particularly useful for identifying the type of asbestos present in a sample.
Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM)Our Transmission Electron Microscope is used for definitive identification of asbestos fibers. It allows us to visualize individual fibers at extremely high magnifications, providing detailed information about their morphology and crystal structure.
Flame Atomic Absorption (FAA)Flame Atomic Absorption is a technique used for lead analysis in our laboratory. This method is used for measuring the concentration of specific metal ions in a sample, such as lead. It provides quick, precise, and reliable results.
Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption (GFAA)We also employ Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption for lead analysis. This method allows us to detect even lower concentrations of lead compared to FAA. It is especially useful for analyzing samples with trace amounts of lead.
